Ishaq Dar and DG ISPR Hold Joint Press Conference, Warn India of Severe Consequences
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, held a joint press conference to address the escalating tensions with India. The DG ISPR issued a stern warning, stating that Pakistan’s response to India’s aggression would resonate globally.
During the briefing, the DG ISPR revealed that Pakistan had shot down 25 Indian-origin drones in the past two days, underscoring the military’s readiness to counter any threats. He condemned India’s persistent hostility, attributing it to a misjudgment of Pakistan’s strength. Reassuring the nation, he emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty.
Both officials accused India of targeting civilian areas and attempting to strike military installations, calling these actions a serious provocation. They asserted Pakistan’s right to retaliate under Article 51 of the UN Charter, which upholds a nation’s right to self-defense. "If India dares to undertake any further misadventures, it will face severe consequences," the DG ISPR warned.
The DG ISPR also dismissed India’s allegations that Pakistan had attacked 15 locations inside Indian territory, labeling the claims as "utterly false." He accused India of fabricating evidence to justify its military actions, mocking the purported proof. "India’s claims are baseless. The images they’ve shown of alleged Pakistani projectiles are laughable. A projectile of that nature would at least set dry grass on fire, but their so-called evidence shows no such damage," he said.
Responding to India’s assertion that it had neutralized 15 projectiles fired by Pakistan, the DG ISPR ridiculed the claim, pointing out India’s failure to protect its own aircraft. "If India claims it neutralized 15 projectiles, why couldn’t it save its own five jets from being shot down by the Pakistan Air Force?" he questioned, referencing the downing of five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale fighters, one MiG-29, and one SU-30.
The DG ISPR issued a final warning, stating that Pakistan’s response, when it comes at a time and place of its choosing, will be unmistakable. "When Pakistan strikes, the Indian media won’t need to spin stories—the whole world will know," he declared.
