Sania Kamran Hails Army Chief’s Patriotic Resolve, Reaffirms PPP’s Solidarity with Armed Forces

LAHORE: Former MPA and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sania Kamran has praised Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir for his unwavering commitment to national defense and unity. In a statement lauding the general’s recent address at the cadets’ passing-out parade in Kakul, she emphasized that “our national pride must always come first,” and reaffirmed the PPP’s steadfast support for the Pakistan Army.

General Munir, speaking to newly commissioned officers, reminded the nation that Pakistan was forged through “immense sacrifices” of its founding fathers, and that it is the armed forces’ solemn duty to safeguard the homeland. He underscored that “we know how to defend it,” a sentiment that Sania Kamran described as both “bold and deeply reassuring for every Pakistani.”

On the sensitive issue of Kashmir, General Munir declared, “Our stance is very clear: it was our jugular vein, it will remain our jugular vein, and we will not forget it. We will not leave our Kashmiri brothers in their heroic struggle.” Sania Kamran welcomed this reaffirmation, noting that Pakistan’s unity and resolve on Kashmir continue to strengthen “the moral and diplomatic front against all attempts to distort history.”

She also commended General Munir’s warning to hostile propaganda, highlighting his observation that “no amount of media distortion can rewrite the truth of our struggle.” Sania Kamran asserted that the Pakistani people remain united behind their armed forces, whose professionalism and sacrifice inspire cohesion in the face of external threats.

Concluding her remarks, Sania Kamran stated, “The PPP stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our soldiers and officers. Their courage, discipline, and patriotism bind us together as one nation, determined to defend our sovereignty and uphold our shared values.”
