PPP Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza's Message on Labor Day  

Lahore: Syed Hassan Murtaza, General Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab, in his message on the occasion of May 1st, Labor Day, stated that today we pay tribute to the brave laborers of Chicago who sacrificed their lives to pave the way for the protection of workers' rights worldwide.  

He said that unfortunately, today the labor class in Pakistan is suffering from oppression and exploitation. Workers are being exploited through the lack of social security and the contract system, particularly brick kiln workers and farm laborers who have been deprived of their basic rights.  

Syed Hassan Murtaza emphasized that the Pakistan Peoples Party takes pride in always adopting worker-friendly policies and introducing historic laws for laborers' rights. He made it clear that workers' rights will not be taken away in the name of privatization, nor will any laborer's household be left without sustenance.  

The PPP Punjab General Secretary vowed that the party will continue to raise its voice for workers' rights on every platform and will keep striving to resolve their issues through all possible means.
