Pakistan People's Party (PPP) senior leader and Member of National Assembly Sahar Kamran has welcomed the recent decisions made by the Council of Common Interests (CCI). She extended special congratulations to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for these decisions.

In her statement, Sahar Kamran said, "The establishment of a committee to formulate water and agricultural policies in consultation with all provinces is most welcome." She further stated, "Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto deserves congratulations."

The senior leader praised Bilawal Bhutto's role, saying, "Bilawal Bhutto has strongly represented the people's interests on the issue of Sindh River canals." She also noted that "It was due to Bilawal Bhutto's principled stance that the CCI meeting was called to address Sindh's water issues."

In her statement, Sahar Kamran further said, "The Pakistan People's Party has defended the 1991 water accord and the rights of Pakistan's farmers by raising its voice." She emphasized that "The Pakistan People's Party has once again proven that consensus is the guarantee of a united Pakistan."

The Member of National Assembly also congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, stating, "I also congratulate Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for building consensus on important national matters like national security and water resources."

Sahar Kamran concluded her statement by saying, "National unity and collective determination are urgently needed for the country's development" and "The CCI declaration is proof that the real strength of Pakistan lies in its people."

According to PPP sources, the CCI decisions are expected to lead to positive developments regarding water distribution issues among provinces, which will particularly benefit the farmers and agriculture community.
