Lahore: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the government should pay the full price of wheat to the farmers. The People’s Party is not an ally of the PML-N, but an ally of the people of Pakistan. The role of Ulema Mashaikh has always been important in national security. He expressed these views during a meeting with Ulema Mashaikh and PPP leaders at the Governor House Lahore.

 

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that while he holds the office of Governor Punjab, his primary identity remains that of a dedicated PPP worker. He said that the party workers are preparing for the by-elections of Sialkot PP-52. The Punjab Governor said that the PPP will prove its mettle in the by-elections in Sialkot PP-52. He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari believes in the politics of reconciliation and negotiations. The Punjab Governor said that the PPP will not give space to anyone, be it PTI or PML-N. The Punjab Governor said that the PPP will regain its lost position in Punjab. He said that it is his mission to make Bilawal Bhutto the prime minister. The Punjab Governor said that Bilawal Bhutto will come to Punjab and soon reorganize party in Punjab and issue instructions to the workers. He said that the PPP stands with the farmers. The government should give the farmers the full price of wheat. The Punjab Governor said that the farmers and cultivators of Punjab are perturbed over not getting the proper price for agricultural commodities. He further said that the Ulema Mashaikh have always played a full role for the security of the country. He said that the religion of Islam teaches us the lesson of peace and security. The Punjab Governor said that terrorism in the country is a big obstacle to peace and security. He said that we have to create unity in our ranks to root out the scourge of terrorism.
