Lahore: A delegation led by President Anjuman Araiyan Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Saeed Derewala, called on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider at Governor House Lahore. During the meeting, the delegation informed the Governor Punjab about various social service projects. The delegation comprised Mian Khalid Habib Elahi, Chaudhry Muhammad Shakeel, Chaudhry Habib Kanwal and Mian Habibullah.

On this occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan appreciated the spirit of humanitarian service and said that the greatest worship is the service to humanity. The Governor Punjab said that by highlighting the welfare works in Pakistan, the soft image of Pakistan can be clarified. He said that those who are doing selfless welfare work are valuable and should be encouraged. The Punjab Governor said that the current government is implementing various social policies using a multi-pronged approach to eradicate poverty, including social safety nets, infrastructure development and skill development programs, among other economic reforms. He said that the government’s core initiatives include the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Ehsaas Program, and the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program, investment in infrastructure and structural reforms are commendable. The Punjab Governor said that millions of families are currently benefiting from the Benazir Income Support Program. He said that along with government initiatives, philanthropists also have a role to play in eradicating poverty.

 Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan further said that the greatest worship in the sight of Allah is service to humanity. He said that the fields in which you people are serving humanity are commendable. The Punjab Governor said that the soft image of Pakistan can be promoted by highlighting the welfare works in Pakistan. He said that those who are doing selfless welfare work are valuable and should be encouraged. The Punjab Governor said that it is the duty of all of us to help the poor and needy people. He said that our religion Islam teaches us to share the pain and suffering of others. He said that history remembers those who work for the humanity.

On this occasion, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan also presented certificates of appreciation and awards to the officials of Anjuman Araiyan Pakistan in recognition of their social services
