Saleem Shakir, a member of the Minority Advisory Council, visited Waqas Masih at Mayo Hospital in Sheikhupura. A few days ago, there was a violent incident in which an attempt was made to kill Waqas Masih by allegedly cutting his throat by sharp blade. During his visit, Saleem Shakir expressed solidarity with the victim’s family and reassured them that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, and Mrs. Sonia Asher, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, the Minority Advisory Council is fully committed to delivering complete justice to the affected family.

 

Saleem Shakir also mentioned that the case is being closely monitored by Sohail Habel and his HARDS team. He extended his heartfelt appreciation and tribute to Sohail Habel and the HARDS Pakistan team for their unwavering support and efforts in standing with every victim in the pursuit of justice.
