Faisalabad: Government Vows Justice as Saleem Shakir Visits Gang Rape Victim's Home

In a distressing incident near the Faisalabad Motorway Bridge, a Christian girl identified as (Sh) B.B. was reportedly the victim of a gang rape at her home. In response, Saleem Shakir, a member of the Minority Advisory Council (Government of Punjab) and President of the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan, visited the victim’s home to extend his solidarity and express deep concern over the incident.

 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz strongly condemned the attack, stating that violence against any community will not be tolerated. Similarly, Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, expressed profound regret over the incident and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring justice for the affected minority communities.

 

Speaking to a Peoples Voice correspondent, Saleem Shakir mentioned that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora, and Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Mrs. Sonia Asher, have assured that every necessary support will be extended to the victim and her family. A comprehensive investigation will be launched immediately to hold the perpetrators accountable, and the Minority Council of Punjab has vowed that those responsible will face stringent legal consequences.

 

Saleem Shakir’s visit to the victim’s home underscores the urgency with which the government is addressing this heinous incident, reflecting its commitment to providing prompt relief and justice to the affected community.
