Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan message on Eid-ul-Fitr
Lahore: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, while congratulating the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, said that eve of Eid-ul-Fitr requires us to embody the profound values of fasting including self-purification, simplicity, sacrifice and patience cultivated during Ramadan a part of our lives.
The Governor Punjab said that we should share in each other’s happiness by demonstrating Islamic brotherhood and sisterhood. He said that on this happy occasion, let us pledge to serve the humanity in order to achieve the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He said that our religion, Islam, teaches peace, tolerance, forbearance, and helping and supporting the needy, therefore, on this occasion of joy, we should generously help the poor and needy and share the joys of Eid with them so that the true splendor of Eid can be doubled.
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that we have to play our role in the development of the country. He said that the country is currently facing many problems including terrorism and extremism, for which we have to demonstrate mutual understanding, unity and solidarity. The Punjab Governor said that today we also salute the security forces personnel who sacrificed their lives for the security and peace motherland.
