LAHORE:Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has warned that entrenched divisions in the country remain the biggest obstacle to achieving national consensus. In a series of separate meetings with senior PPP leaders, he discussed critical issues that continue to affect the party and the nation.

During these sessions, leaders including Sania Kamran, Sajjad-ul-Hassan, Jameel Manj, and Raheel Kamran Cheema engaged in discussions on topics such as women’s development, the upcoming elections, and the party’s organisational restructuring. 

According to Dunya News Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari specifically lauded Sania Kamran for her significant contributions to both the party and the country. Emphasising her newly assigned role at the provincial level, he remarked that capable and educated individuals like her are invaluable assets to the PPP. “Sania Kamran’s dedication and expertise will undoubtedly help drive our vision forward,” he stated, highlighting her pivotal role within the organisation.

Expressing deep concern over the growing polarization in national politics, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari noted that divisive politics have reached unprecedented levels, while common citizens continue to struggle with poverty and unemployment. He stressed that national interests must prevail over partisan biases, reaffirming that the PPP remains well-positioned to engage constructively with both the government and the opposition.

In a related development, Peoples Lawyer Forum office bearers also expressed their gratitude for the recent appointment of law officers, considering the move a positive step towards strengthening legal support within the party.

As the PPP charts its future course, the focus remains on fostering unity, tackling the country’s core challenges, and ensuring that leadership and policy reforms are driven by the collective good of the nation.
