Syed Ali Haider Gillani Awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz on Pakistan Day

Lahore:In a significant ceremony held at the President House on Pakistan Day, President Asif Ali Zardari awarded the prestigious Hilal-e-Imtiaz to Syed Ali Haider Gillani, the Parliamentary Leader of the Punjab Assembly.  

Sharing his emotions on Facebook shortly after the ceremony, Gillani expressed his gratitude, stating,  

 “I am honoured to receive Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Today, I stand not just as an individual, but as a representative of every Pakistani who has faced fear and refused to bow. Receiving this award is not just a personal milestone—it’s a recognition of resilience, sacrifice, and an unbreakable belief in democracy.”  

Gillani further dedicated the honor to the countless Pakistanis who have persevered in the face of adversity. He added,  

 “This honour belongs to those who never gave up on hope, who believed that even in the darkest moments, light would prevail. I dedicate this to the brave souls fighting for justice, freedom, and peace—our nation’s true strength.”

The award not only marks a personal achievement for Gillani but also stands as a tribute to the enduring spirit of the Pakistani people. His remarks resonated deeply with citizens, reflecting a commitment to the values of democracy and justice that continue to shape the nation.
