Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab Punjab General Secretary Hassan Murtaza on Wednesday said that that blackmailing on national security issues by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negates patriotism
While reacting to PTI's announcement of not attending the Parliamentary Security Committee meeting without Imran Khan.
Hassan Murtaza said that making the parole release of a criminal an issue to avoid attending the Parliamentary Security Committee meeting is a shameful act. He further added that Imran Khan, as Prime Minister, never attended any national security meeting.
Hassan Murtaza remarked that blackmailing on national issues by a national criminal, referred to as "420," is a condemnable act today. He stressed that for the integrity and public welfare of Pakistan, it is essential to prioritize the country above politics. He highlighted that building a political consensus on the issue of terrorism is the most critical need of the hour.
He stated that the country's political and military leadership is standing firm with full strength and determination against terrorism. Hassan Murtaza affirmed that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will stand shoulder to shoulder with security agencies and the families of those who have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism.
