Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister discussed rebuilding Gaza with Arab officials and the U.S. envoy in Qatar.

The high-level diplomatic engagement united the top foreign policy officials from Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, and the UAE in the Qatari capital.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, met with Arab counterparts and the U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff in Doha to discuss the Gaza Strip's reconstruction plan.

On Wednesday, Qatar's foreign ministry stated that Arab foreign ministers discussed the Gaza reconstruction plan approved at the Arab League Summit in Cairo on March 4, 2025.

They also agreed with the U.S. envoy to continue discussions and coordination on the plan as a basis for reconstruction efforts.

The Gaza Strip is in ruins after 15 months of Israeli bombings, resulting in nearly 50,000 Palestinian deaths.

In February, President Donald Trump of the United States put forward a bold proposal to relocate the residents of Gaza to neighboring nations, such as Jordan and Egypt.

Arab League did not approve this idea and held an emergency summit in March. They endorsed a plan for Gaza reconstruction without residents' displacement.
