CBFP and LCCI Jointly Host Christmas Fellowship, Promoting Peace and Tolerance

Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan (CBFP) jointly hosted a Christmas Fellowship program at the LCCI office on 23 December. The event was attended by a large gathering of prominent businessmen from both the Christian and Muslim communities.
Sonia Ashir, Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs and Human Rights in Punjab, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Bishop Dominic Javeid, Chairman of the Bishops' Conference, Bishop Majeed Naz Ashiq, General Secretary of the Bishops' Conference, Bishop Junaid Javeid, Bishop Asif John, and prominent Christian businessmen, businesswomen such as Peter Charles, James Nawab, Iftikhar Anjum, Iqbal Khokhar, Sohail Alam, and Saima Samuel.
In attendance were Eng. Khalid Usman, Senior Vice President of the LCCI; Chaudhary Shahid Nazir, Vice President of the LCCI; Shahid Khalil, General Secretary of the LCCI; and other esteemed members of the LCCI Executive Committee.
Saleem Shakir, President of CBFP, highlighted the true essence of Christmas, emphasizing the message of peace, love, tolerance, forgiveness, and compassion. He stressed that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolizes love and unity among all humankind.
Main Abuzer Shad, President of LCCI, reiterated the Chamber's commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all its members. "Our doors are open to everyone, regardless of their religious or ethnic background," he stated. "We believe in providing equal opportunities and rights to all members of the business community."
The event served as a platform for interfaith dialogue and strengthened the bonds between the Christian and Muslim communities in the country.
