LAHORE:Leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab have paid tribute to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy, stating that the incident that occurred eighteen years ago conveys a message of determination, courage and bravery. In their separate messages, Pakistan Peoples Party General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza said that even after the passage of eighteen years, the wounds of this tragedy have not healed. In this incident, 180 party workers sacrificed their lives and more than 450 were injured. He clarified that the history of the Peoples Party leadership and workers is filled with sacrifices, and the attack at Karsaz was actually an attempt to assassinate the Daughter of the East. Hassan Murtaza further said that the devoted workers wrote an immortal tale of their commitment to democracy and the homeland, and today the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being carried forward by her son Bilawal Bhutto.
