Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari presided over an important meeting regarding the Lyari Transformation Project.

During the session, officials from NESPAK presented a detailed survey report on the rehabilitation of Lyari. The briefing highlighted that the sewerage and water supply systems in the area need to be completely rebuilt.

NESPAK also presented reports on road infrastructure and the waste collection system in Lyari. Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani, Jameel Soomro, Javed Nagori, and Junaid Jeedi attended the meeting alongside the chairman.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari directed that future development planning must take into account the needs of the growing population. He further instructed that Lyari should be fully solarized and that the People’s Bus Service be expanded to Lyari’s inner areas.

Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Hyder Shah, Project Director of Lyari Transformation Authority Faheem Chachar, and Municipal Commissioner Hammad ND Khan were also present. NESPAK’s General Manager Munawwar Abbas, Rehan Zamin, and Ali Sher Shah attended the meeting as well.
