LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited flood-affected areas of Chiniot district today, emphasizing the urgent need for dam construction and pledging comprehensive support for flood victims across the province.
During his visit to various devastated areas, Governor Khan highlighted the critical importance of water infrastructure development, stating that "if dams had been built, water would have been a blessing." He questioned the rationale behind halting viable dam projects simply because one project encounters difficulties, advocating for continued progress on water management initiatives.

The Governor observed extensive flood damage throughout Chiniot and other parts of the country, where the properties and livestock of impoverished communities have been swept away by floodwaters. "The PPP will not leave the flood victims alone under any circumstances," Governor Khan declared, emphasizing his personal commitment to visiting flood-affected areas daily to provide assistance and assess ongoing needs.
