Islamabad, 16 August 2025: The First Lady of Pakistan, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and widespread devastation caused by recent rains and flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In her message of condolence, the Member of the National Assembly extended heartfelt sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones during the calamity. She underscored the need for urgent relief measures, particularly in areas where road links have been cut off due to landslides and flooding.

“The volunteers and rescue workers who are risking their lives with extraordinary courage to help those trapped in flood-hit regions are our true heroes,” Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari said, commending their unwavering commitment.

She called upon local administrations to prioritize assistance to communities left isolated by the disaster and ensure that relief supplies reach them on an emergency basis.

The First Lady reiterated her solidarity with the affected families and emphasized that collective efforts by government institutions, civil society, and local communities would be crucial in helping victims rebuild their lives.
