KARACHI: British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott called on First Lady and MNA Aseefa Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House, Karachi.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation, particularly focusing on education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and youth development.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari praised the UK Prime Minister’s principled stance on the situation in Gaza, calling it “commendable,” and emphasized the need to promote global peace through dialogue and mutual respect.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner Lance Domm and Political Adviser Huda Ikram. 

Among those present were Sindh Minister for Health Dr. Azra Pechuho, Member of National Assembly Shazia Marri, and Member of Provincial Assembly Qasim Soomro.

The meeting reaffirmed mutual commitment to strengthening ties in social development, public welfare, and regional understanding. It also highlighted the shared desire to foster peace, inclusion, and progress in Pakistan and beyond.
