KARACHI : Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari declared that Pakistan has achieved a significant diplomatic triumph while India has faced a clear defeat. Speaking to a massive crowd upon his return from a successful international tour, he asserted that Pakistan’s narrative had prevailed globally, both in diplomatic circles and the international media, because the country stood firmly with the truth, whereas India relied on falsehoods.

Bilawal highlighted that before the recent tensions between Pakistan and India, New Delhi had repeatedly claimed that Kashmir was an internal matter. However, he noted that India is now being forced to acknowledge that Kashmir is, in reality, an international issue. The PPP chairman received an unprecedented welcome at Karachi Airport, where thousands of party workers and supporters gathered to celebrate his return. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, he expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and reaffirmed his commitment to exposing India’s aggression and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s misleading claims on the global stage.

He emphasized that while India had failed militarily, it attempted to outmaneuver Pakistan diplomatically but was ultimately unsuccessful. "We have defeated India not only on the battlefield but also in the diplomatic arena," Bilawal stated. "Our narrative has triumphed, and this victory belongs to the resilient people of Pakistan and Kashmir."

The PPP chairman revealed that his diplomatic mission was conducted on the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the goal of presenting Pakistan’s message of peace and advocating for the Kashmir cause worldwide. He recalled that the PPP’s foundation was rooted in the Kashmir struggle, with leaders like Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and President Asif Ali Zardari consistently championing the rights of Kashmiris.

Bilawal contrasted Pakistan’s strong response to India’s recent aggression with the passive stance taken during former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s tenure. He pointed out that while India initially denied losing six of its warplanes in the conflict, the global community ultimately recognized Pakistan’s decisive military response. "India mistakenly believed we would continue with weak policies, but this time, Pakistan stood united and resolute," he said.

Turning to the issue of water security, Bilawal issued a stern warning to India regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, stating that any attempt to violate the agreement would be met with fierce resistance. "If India dares to threaten the Indus, we will fight another war," he declared. "Three rivers belong to them, and three belong to us. But if they break the treaty, we will claim all six." He criticized certain political factions in Sindh for remaining silent on Modi’s aggressive water policies, accusing them of prioritizing political theatrics over genuine advocacy for the Indus.

Reflecting on history, Bilawal recalled Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s historic movement to protect the Indus and reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to defending Pakistan’s water resources. He stated that he had vigorously advocated for the Indus at the United Nations, the United States, the United Kingdom, and across Europe, fulfilling his promise to safeguard the river.

In a final note, Bilawal hailed U.S. President Donald Trump’s invitation to Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as a major diplomatic achievement, arguing that it underscored Pakistan’s credibility on the global stage. "Had Pakistan been a sponsor of terrorism, such an invitation would never have been extended," he said. "This is a clear acknowledgment of Pakistan’s rising influence and a testament to India’s diplomatic failures." He added that even within the U.S., questions were being raised about India’s inability to defend itself despite massive military expenditures.

The PPP chairman’s address concluded with a strong message of resilience, urging the nation to remain steadfast in the face of external threats and internal political manipulations.
