Islamabad: Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) in the Senate, Senator Sherry Rehman, held a significant meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the ongoing budget session. Senator Sherry Rehman briefed the President on the PPP's effective and constructive role in the Senate's budget debate and legislative process.

She also informed the President about the diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Coalition Joint Committee during the recent Pakistan-India crisis. Senator Rehman emphasized that the committee effectively presented Pakistan’s peace-oriented and responsible strategic stance before the international community.

She stated that the committee played a key role in garnering international support for Pakistan's position. Senator Sherry Rehman expressed gratitude to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan for their full support and trust in the Coalition Joint Committee and its head, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

President Asif Ali Zardari appreciated the committee's proactive diplomatic efforts and commended the team's role in presenting Pakistan’s position effectively on the global stage.
