Sehar Kamran Condemns Israeli Aggression, Criticizes Budget Policies
“Israeli aggression could escalate tensions in the Middle East, with the potential to affect the entire world.”
Pakistan Peoples Party leader and Member of the National Assembly, Sehar Kamran, has strongly condemned the Israeli attack, calling it a grave threat to global peace and stability. In a statement, she remarked, “Israeli aggression could escalate tensions in the Middle East, with the potential to affect the entire world.”
She urged the international community, the United Nations, and powerful nations to intervene immediately to control the situation, emphasizing that the solution lies in negotiations and diplomacy, not war. “Respect for international laws and state sovereignty is imperative, as war brings nothing but destruction, suffering, and instability,” Kamran added.
Highlighting the importance of sustainable peace, she said, “Justice and the protection of human rights are essential. The United Nations must play an effective role in ending the ongoing tensions in the region.” In a TV talk show, Kamran noted, “I don’t think Israel will be given such free space, nor will the U.S. openly support Israel. If it does, Trump risks losing the support of Muslim countries, and he will not let his achievements be rolled back.”
Speaking on the budget, Sehar Kamran strongly criticized the government’s policies. “We have made it very clear to the government that if the HEC budget is reduced from 4.8 billion to 2.8 billion, we will not tolerate it. We will not accept taxes on solar energy or cuts in funding for the Sukkur Motorway and the K-IV project.”
She further stated, “The PPP can no longer be taken for granted by the government. We’ve warned them that if our concerns are not addressed, the PPP will not vote for the budget. The government’s sense of satisfaction is about to be shaken.”
