CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Directs Admin to Improve Arrangements on Eid-ul-Azha
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the Muslim Ummah, especially all Pakistanis, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The Chief Minister said, “On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, we express our gratitude to Allah Almighty from the bottom of our hearts. I feel rejoice that after the unprecedented success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, we have also been blessed by celebrating the festivities of Eid-ul-Azha.”
She highlighted, “Today is Eid-ul-Azha, but how can we forget those who sacrificed their precious lives during the Indian aggression ‘Fitna-ul-Hindustan’?” She outlined, “Today is Eid-ul-Azha, how can we forget the innocent children who became victims of terrorism? Today is our Eid-ul-Azha, how can we forget the innocent children, women and other innocent people who were martyred in the worst aggression of modern times in Gaza? Today is Eid-ul-Azha, how can we forget the residents of slum areas in Pakistan, especially in Punjab?”
She maintained, “Today is the day to remember the farewell sermon ‘Khutba Hajjatul Widaa’ a comprehensive manifesto of human life.” She emphasized, “Today is Eid and the joy of Eid has been magnified by acknowledging the talented children who have received Honhaar scholarships and laptops. On the day of Eid-ul-Azha, not only the sacrifice of meat and blood should be made, but also we should do away with anger, ego and arrogance. The great memorial of the Sunnah of Hazrat Abraham (Peace Be Upon Him) is actually a very big sacrifice.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the purpose of performing the worship of sacrifice is the purification of our soul, promote piety and accepting the supremacy of Allah Almighty. She maintained, “Eid-ul-Azha is the renewal of the pledge to live and die for Allah, not to refrain from performing sacrifice to express submission, satisfaction and service to the command of Allah Almighty is the true message of Eid-ul-Azha.”
She emphasized, “The sacrifice of Hazrat Abraham (Peace Be Upon Him) and Hazrat Ismail (Peace Be Upon Him) have become an eternal command of Allah Almighty.’ She added, “Including the poor and needy people around us is our social obligation on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.”
"I will personally monitor cleanliness situation on Eid, negligence will not be tolerated at all," said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif while directing the district administration to improve arrangements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. She also directed them to spray phenyl and rose water after cleaning like the last year, besides ensuring cleanliness in cattle markets too. She added,"Complaints about cleanliness should be immediately redressed everywhere including cities and villages." She highlighted,"Special arrangements should be made to keep traffic flowing around cattle markets."
Chief Minister said,"A ban should also be ensured on throwing animal waste into canals and drains etc." She directed them to further activate provincial, divisional, district and tehsil level control rooms.
