Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the Pakistani nation and the global Muslim community, emphasising the timeless message of sacrifice and selflessness embodied by the sacred occasion.

In his message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha 1446 AH, the Prime Minister recalled the unwavering devotion and obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), whose legendary sacrifice became a cornerstone of Islamic faith and worship.

“Eid-ul-Azha is not merely about the sacrifice of animals—it is a spiritual reminder to transcend our personal desires and dedicate ourselves to higher purposes,” the Prime Minister stated, adding that this spirit of sacrifice instils values like patience, courage, and selflessness—qualities essential for national growth and development.

Reflecting on the country’s journey, he noted that Pakistan stands at a critical juncture of economic recovery and national progress. He called upon citizens to demonstrate unity, discipline, and collective resolve to overcome internal challenges, much like the recent unified response to external aggression. “The entire nation gave a clear message to the enemy that Pakistan will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for its dignity and defence,” he said.

The Prime Minister also stressed the need to pool economic and social resources for the greater good. “We must rise above personal interests and prioritise the collective well-being of our country. This is the spirit that builds great nations,” he said.

In a heartfelt expression of solidarity, the Prime Minister urged the nation to remember the oppressed Palestinians enduring relentless brutality, and the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who have waged a just and courageous struggle for their right to self-determination. “We will remain their voice and unwavering supporters,” he affirmed.

Concluding his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prayed for Allah’s blessings on the nation, and urged all Pakistanis to make a firm pledge this Eid—to build a future grounded in unity, harmony, and national pride. “May this Eid inspire us to change the destiny of Pakistan through sacrifice and solidarity,” he said. “Long live Pakistan.”
