Lahore, June 4, 2025 — President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, held a high-level meeting at the Governor House Lahore, where Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider was present along with key members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Attendees included PPP Information Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan, and former MPAs Sania Kamran, Aisha Nawaz Chaudhry, Faiza Malik, as well as several party workers.

The meeting discussed important national issues, including national security, the ongoing Operation Banyan Mersoos, and internal party matters.

During the discussion, President Zardari emphasized the PPP’s longstanding commitment to empowering women in politics. He referenced the legacy of his late wife, former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, as well as the political roles of his two sisters, highlighting the active participation of women in the party.

“The Pakistan Peoples Party has always championed women's rights,” President Zardari stated. “From launching the Benazir Income Support Programme for marginalized women to now granting ownership rights under the Sindh Housing Scheme, our initiatives continue to promote women's empowerment.”
