Parties With Scant 400 Votes in Punjab Howl with Disappointment at Rigging: Azma Bokhari*

Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari stated that the Sambrial by-election victory is a testament to the people of Punjab's confidence in Maryam Nawaz. She wished Hina Warraich well for her triumph. "This success is a reflection of public confidence and the party's work. PML-N has emerged victorious in the Sambrial by-election with a big lead. This victory is a testament to the people of Punjab having full faith in Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif's leadership."

She also stated,"PML-N also attained huge gains in by-elections such as Sheikhupura, after the general elections, and today's win is another testament to this continuity."

Taking note of unfounded rigging allegations made by certain parties, Azma Bokhari replied,"The party which hardly gets 400 votes in Punjab also makes a hue and cry about rigging. It is the grace of Allah!"

She severely condemned PTI founder, stating,"PTI founder is a victim of serious disappointment and depression. Under this condition, he gives misleading statements to ignite the blood of his workers."

Speaking of Bushra Bibi, Azma Bokhari stated,"The whole nation learned that Bushra Bibi has been declared a convicted corrupt First Lady. She employed the office of First Lady as a contractor of corruption."

Besides, Azma Bokhari showed a harsh response to the PTI founder's narrative against the Pakistan Armed Forces and their Chief and said,

"The Pakistan Armed Forces, led by their Chief, have won a historic victory against an enemy that is five times their number. But the PTI founder is falsifying facts and inciting hatred by misusing religious sentiments and verses of the Quran.

At the end, she said,

"Yesterday, the individual who used to wield phrases such as 'deal' and 'NRO' like weapons, himself today appears to be negotiating a deal.

PML-N's victory in Sambrial is not just evidence of the popularity of the party but also of the political wisdom and right choice-making of the awake people of Punjab. PML-N reaffirms its resolve to serve the masses through every one of its elected members.
