President Zardari Holds Key Meeting with PPP Delegation at Governor House Lahore to Discuss Political and Economic Challenges
Lahore: President Asif Ali Zardari met with a delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), led by former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, at the Governor House Lahore on Friday. The delegation included PPP Punjab General Secretary Hassan Murtaza, Information Secretary Shehzad Cheema, Chaudhry Aslam Gil, Mehr Irshad Sial, and other prominent leaders. Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider and Nadeem Afzal Chan were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the country's political and economic situation, the upcoming budget, and parliamentary affairs. The delegation briefed the president on public issues from various regions and presented suggestions for their resolution.
President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that Pakistan urgently needs political stability and national consensus. He stated that all democratic forces must work together to ensure the country's progress and prosperity while effectively addressing public concerns. He further stressed that democracy and public service should always remain top priorities, adding that every individual and school of thought must play their role in resolving public issues.
Highlighting the importance of youth, President Zardari urged the younger generation to step forward for the country's development and prosperity in line with the demands of the modern world. He underscored the need for a joint strategy to strengthen the national economy, emphasizing that mutual cooperation, national unity, and solidarity are essential to overcoming the country's challenges.
