Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Pays Tribute to Scientists, Armed Forces, and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Youm-e-Takbeer
Karachi/Islamabad/Lahore:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has lauded the scientists, engineers, armed forces, and visionary political leadership for making the country’s defense impregnable on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer. He particularly paid homage to Pakistan’s first elected Prime Minister and Leader of the People, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who laid the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear program despite global pressure and opposition.
According to a press release issued by the Bilawal House Media Cell, the PPP Chairman stated that Youm-e-Takbeer is not just a day of pride but also a symbol of the nation’s unwavering resolve to never compromise on its sovereignty, dignity, and future security. He emphasized that this day reminds the nation that when a country stands united, led by foresighted leadership, strengthened by scientific excellence, and protected by its brave armed forces, it can overcome every challenge and shape its destiny with strength and honor.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted that it was Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s vision and unparalleled courage that envisioned Pakistan as a nuclear power and laid the practical groundwork for it. He also honored Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who, during her tenures, safeguarded and advanced the nuclear program with wisdom and insight.
He further stated that Pakistan’s nuclear defense is a testament to the sacrifices of these martyrs and serves as a strong shield for future generations. "We must never forget the struggles and sacrifices behind this achievement," he added.
Reaffirming his commitment, the PPP Chairman declared that the party would always stand for a strong, sovereign, and secure Pakistan—not just in military strength but also in economic stability, democracy, and social justice. On Youm-e-Takbeer, he urged the nation to renew its pledge to fulfill the dreams of its founding leaders and work collectively towards building a Pakistan that truly reflects peace, progress, and the aspirations of its people.
