Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed the media following a briefing at the Foreign Office, articulating Pakistan’s diplomatic stance with clarity and conviction. He emphasized that while Pakistan desires peace in the region and globally, such peace remains unattainable without resolving long-standing disputes like Kashmir. Chairman Bilawal underscored that Pakistan has suffered disproportionately from terrorism, urging the international community to take decisive action against this menace. He condemned India’s policy of weaponizing water, likening it to Israel’s use of food as a tool of oppression in Gaza, and warned that unresolved disputes over Kashmir and water could plunge future generations into devastating conflict.  

Bilawal Bhutto lauded the Foreign Office’s responsible handling of recent crises, particularly Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer for impartial international investigations into Indian allegations—a move that exposed India’s false narratives. He stressed that Pakistan’s decision to dispatch diplomatic delegations globally is a strategic step to communicate its message of peace and truth to governments, parliaments, media, and the public. Highlighting the far-reaching consequences of tensions between nuclear powers, he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and its readiness to engage in meaningful negotiations, provided India demonstrates similar sincerity.  

Expressing hope for future generations, Chairman Bilawal remarked that the youth of Pakistan and India deserve a peaceful future rooted in truth. However, he cautioned that this requires urgent resolution of the Kashmir dispute, eradication of terrorism, and addressing the water crisis. While acknowledging that the Indian public also yearns for peace, he criticized the Indian government’s divisive policies as the primary obstacle.
