PM Shehbaz congratulates General Syed Asim Munir on promotion to Field Marshal
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir on his promotion to the rank of Field Marshal.
In his congratulatory message, the Prime Minister praised General Munir for his leadership and professional excellence during Operation Baniyan Marsous, stating that he thwarted the nefarious designs of the enemy during the battle for truth.
He added that General Munir has been endowed with exceptional qualities by the Almighty and played a key role in the success of the operation through his courage, perseverance, and wisdom.
The Prime Minister emphasized that General Munir was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal in recognition of his significant contributions to national defense and efforts to maintain the regional balance of power through Operation Baniyan Marsous.
Shehbaz Sharif further stated that from the Army Chief to every soldier who bravely defended the nation's borders during the battle for truth, each one rendered commendable service in the defense of the homeland.
He concluded by saying that he, along with the entire nation, takes pride in General Syed Asim Munir, the valiant armed forces under his command, their martyrs, and their families.
