JI Pakistan has firmly rejected any biased or one-sided mediation on the Kashmir issue
Abbottabad: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has firmly rejected any biased or one-sided mediation on the Kashmir issue, stating, “We will not accept any ‘You take this, we take that’ type of arbitration on Kashmir.”
He urged the Pakistani government to advocate forcefully for the causes of Kashmir and Palestine on global forums and take practical steps to ensure solidarity among the Muslim world.
Speaking at the grand Defence of Pakistan and Gaza Solidarity March in Abbottabad on Saturday, the JI chief said the spirit of jihad has united the Pakistani nation. He stressed that it is the government’s duty to take effective steps to preserve national unity and solidarity. “Since May 10, the world has seen the emergence of a more powerful and resilient Pakistan. We must now speak to India on equal terms,” he added.
Rehman criticized U.S. efforts to establish India as a regional hegemony, saying such plans have failed. He also urged vigilance in proposed Pakistan-India talks, warning against accepting American mediation, which he described as driven by self-interest and hostility toward Muslims. “America supports Israeli atrocities in Gaza and cannot be trusted. If Washington genuinely works to resolve the Kashmir dispute according to UN resolutions, that’s acceptable. Otherwise, its role as mediator must be rejected,” he asserted.
Referring to the history of Kashmir, he said, “Half of Kashmir was liberated through jihad, and the rest will also be freed through jihad. This is the lesson of history.” He called on the Prime Minister and Army Chief to unite the nation on the foundation of Islam, saying that the spirit of jihad had already brought the people together.
Rehman also emphasized the need for Pakistan to form a robust regional alliance, proposing a bloc that includes China, Russia, Iran, and Afghanistan. He called for practical steps to support both Kashmir and Palestine and urged the government to send a clear message to Israel to end its aggression in Gaza.
He supported diplomatic engagement with India but stressed that Pakistan must not compromise on its principled stance. “Pakistan has defeated the military technologies of Israel, the U.S., and France in the recent conflict. In Gaza too, the faith-driven resistance of Hamas fighters has nullified the might of modern warfare,” he said.
He described the current global shift as the beginning of a new world order led by Islamic principles. “Kashmir will be free and part of Pakistan, Israel will be eliminated, and Palestine will endure,” he declared.
Criticizing the silence of Muslim rulers over Israeli aggression, he said, “The Ummah is awake. There is growing hatred against Israel even in the West, but our rulers have lost all sense of dignity.” He urged Pakistan to take a leading role in ending Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman labeled the United States, India, and Israel as the “three devils,” saying they are pursuing expansionist agendas — India with its dream of “Akhand Bharat” and Israel with “Greater Israel.” “Both will be defeated,” he vowed.
He concluded by reiterating JI’s commitment to democratic struggle and public rights. “We will oppose the government politically, but if the country faces external challenges, we will stand with the state. Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its political, social, and ideological efforts to train the people and rid Pakistan of the oppressive rulers who have governed for decades.”
