Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 resumed with a powerful display of national pride and solidarity as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir attended the high-profile match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The tournament had been temporarily halted due to heightened tensions with India but returned with a renewed spirit of patriotism.

Before the match began, players and officials paid a heartfelt tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs with a solemn moment of silence. The stadium reverberated with chants of *"Pakistan Zindabad"* as spectators waved national flags, while a dazzling fireworks display illuminated the night sky, creating an electrifying atmosphere of unity and resilience.

Actor and host Hamza Ali Abbasi announced that the next three days of PSL matches in Rawalpindi would be dedicated to the country’s military forces. *"The first day honors the Pakistan Army, the second the Navy, and the third the Air Force,"* he declared, emphasizing the nation’s gratitude toward its defenders.

COAS General Asim Munir, accompanied by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, witnessed the match as Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi battled in a thrilling encounter. The second innings was preceded by another round of tributes, reinforcing the deep connection between Pakistan’s sports and its armed forces.
The PSL had faced an abrupt suspension last week following India’s unprovoked drone and missile strikes, which escalated regional tensions and raised security concerns. Initially, the PCB had considered relocating the remaining eight matches to the UAE, but the league was indefinitely postponed until the situation stabilized.

With the resumption of the tournament, cricket fans across the country celebrated not just the return of high-octane sports action but also a strong message of national unity. The PSL’s revival has become more than just a sporting event—it stands as a symbol of Pakistan’s resilience and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.

The packed stadium, patriotic fervor, and military tributes underscored the inseparable bond between Pakistan’s people and its armed forces, making the PSL’s return a moment of collective pride for the nation.
