FPCCI Pays Tribute to National Hero and "Conqueror of the Skies

A ceremony was held at the central office of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to pay special tribute to Pakistan’s national hero and the "Conqueror of the Skies." Prominent business leaders from across the country attended the event, including S.M. Tanveer (Chief Patron, UBG), Atif Ikram Sheikh (Central President, FPCCI), Ali Hassam Asghar (Chairman, Pioneers Businessmen Group), Zain Iftikhar (Regional Chairman, FPCCI), and Zaki Ijaz (Vice President, FPCCI).  

Saleem Shakir, President of the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan and Convener/Chairman of the Standing Committee on Interfaith Harmony, addressed the gathering. He stated, The sacrifices of our national heroes, especially the Conqueror of the Skies, for Pakistan’s security and development can never be forgotten. He emphasized that people of all faiths are working together for the country’s stability.  

Atif Ikram Sheikh, in his speech, remarked, The sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces are a symbol of our national unity. It is every citizen’s duty to honor our heroes. Other leaders at the event also praised the unparalleled services of the Conqueror of the Skies and highlighted interfaith tolerance as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s strength.  

A specially formed committee noted in its statement that this tribute reflects the Pakistani public’s profound gratitude. The ceremony concluded with participants delivering a message of unity and requesting prayers for national heroes.

The title "Conqueror of the Skies" refers to a legendary hero of the Pakistan Air Force who played an extraordinary role in defending the nation’s airspace in the past. The interfaith harmony committee’s initiative symbolizes efforts to strengthen national unity amid cultural diversity.
